Special wedding gift for groom who’s parent recently died?
I am going to my cousins wedding this month. His mother died this winter and I know she was really looking forward to this. Besides a regular gift, money or whatever, what else can I do that will bring a little bit of his mother in the celebration?
I am so sorry for your family’s loss. On a personal note I can tell you what I did for my sister, to remember our grandmother, when she got married. I purchased a small locket keychain and placed a photo of our grandmother inside. On the night before her wedding I pulled her aside and presented it to her in a gift wrapped box. When she opened it, I explained that she was to clip it to the inside of her bouquet. It was a very private way for her to feel like Grandma was with her.
In the case of your cousin I would suggest a locket pin to be worn on the inside of his tuxedo jacket. If you can’t find a pin, you can buy the keychain and he can place it in the inside pocket of his jacket. That way she will be close to his heart.
