My grandpa is visiting us for Christmas. What gift should I get him?
This is the first Christmas we have been close enough to my Grandpa so that we could visit during this time of year with out it being a hassle. Also over the summer, my Grandma passed away, so that is another reason we invited him to visit over the holidays.
Usually we send a card and my mom sends them a personalized calendar of the whole family. This year, he’s getting the calendar, but that would be lame if that was all he got to open on Christmas morning. Do you have any ideas for me? My Grandpa loves to recite poetry and drinks a glass (or two) of whiskey for happy hour every day! I don’t want to give him a bunch of junk or something that would be useless… any ideas?
I would say go to wal-mart in the pet section they do dog tags, pick a design and imprint on it (Grandpa, always thinking or you, love ‘name’) and give it to him to put on his keys =-)
its personal and he will get to see it when he is thinking of you
