What should I make for a housewarming gift?
I am staying at a friend’s for a week, and want to make a gift to say thank you… maybe cookies or something?
I make a Rum cake.
Listen me out first, before you say, “what”
I went to the Cayman Islands where they make rum cakes, and was asked by a friend to bring him home one.Well I did.He loves the cakes and thanked me for it.
Anyway, I looked on line and got the recipe and started making them as gifts, like birthdays etc.
People love them. I bought several different bundt pans, wrap them in cellophane, tie some ribbon on it.You can buy throw away fancy plates, card outlet, and there you go.
The rum won’t make you drunk, it just gives the cake a really good flavor, and so moist.
You can even freeze it, and it still tastes good.
