what to get grandparent for xmas from grandchild?
in our family we celebrate xmas on the 24th(eve)/25th all day
the thing is everyone is supposed to make/buy a gift for everyone else and we are supposed to think of an activity
I’m having a major thing here because the family consist of grandma grandpa both 50-55 years old,grandma’s mom(80 year old)my hubby and me both 28 and the little boy he is 5
what in &*$# name am i going to do with them activity-wise
and what can I let the kid make for grandma grandpa and granny
i’m all stuck it’s already october and i’m all out of ideas
is there anyone with fun,simple,cheap ideas that grandparents will love……..
something like ornaments or something usebale would be fine too…..

the grand parents don’t do a lot
she is the bingo type and she works and that’s it
he plays soccer and works
they don’t cook,no movie types they’re very hard to buy for
the gift should be easy – look in the craft section of Wal or Kmart and find the ‘make your own handprint’ type of kits. Perfect for little kids. Look up the little poem/saying about my hands are little now & put it on it or let the kid sign it (don’t forget the date)
OR there are plate painting kits as well
OR some sort of picture thing — family shots/kid shots — grandparents love that stuff.
OR gift cards to wherever they frequent (movies, coffee houses, even Big Lots)
OR start some herb garden pots or flowers that can stay inside during the winter if they’re cooking/flower people.
For any gift you get that the kid didn’t actually ‘do’ let him help personalize the wrapping/container.
As for the activity – that’s a bit more challenging. Maybe work up some family trivia & have a mini trivial pursuit / jeopardy-type game?
