Etiquette for gifts for a second wedding?
I was wondering what the etiquette rules for gifts are for second weddings? My fiance and I have both been married before and have lived together for some time and have a furnished home. When we announced we did not expect any gifts, some family members said they wanted to get us something… so would it be inappropriate to make a registry?
I think that a registry is fine. Every household, no matter how new or old, still needs things from time to time…linens, cutlery, dishes, etc.
The key here is that OTHER people are asking YOU, not the other way around. If people want to know what to get you then by all means, TELL THEM!
The alternative is that you’ll end up with a pile of stuff that you neither want nor need!!
